CELEBRATING YOUR BABY'S FIRST BIRTHDAY WITH A CAKESMASH/SPLASH SESSION
WHAT DOES CAKE SMASH INVOLVE

Cake smash is a fun way of celebrating your little one's first birthday. The best time to book your baby's cake smash photoshoot will be at least 4-6 weeks before their actual birthday, although I might be able to fit you in last minute subject to availability.
My cakesmash sessions are fun, unique and very beautiful, from beautiful pre-designed backdrop or bespoke backdrop, to bespoke designs of cakes to choose from, to the amazing outfits. It's truly remarkable and the experience is very memorable for parents. I will work with mum and dad to bring their ideas to life. Colours, themes, cakes (in consideration of dietary requirements), outfits and props are discussed prior to session to make sure your baby's cake smash photoshoot is perfect and memorable. I will provide your child with outfits required for the session from my amazing collection of studio outfits but please feel free to let me know if you would rather use your own outfits, I will work with you to make sure that everything is perfect for your little one's session.

PORTRAITS
To start off your fun filled cake smash session, I will take some beautiful portraits of your birthday baby in a neutral backdrop and then onto the cakesmash backdrop to mark such a special occasion.
CAKESMASH
Then onto the cake smash! This is where I'll let your baby get their hands dirty. They can explore the cake, play with it, smash it, throw it, and even eat some of it too. Some babies don't like to get their hands dirty, don't worry, I have a wooden spoon to encourage them. At first some babies are not too sure what to do or if they should destroy the beautiful cake, this is where myself and parents encourage them that's its ok and fun to get messy. I will get some lovely photographs of baby having lots of fun.
SPLASH
They will finish the session nice and clean with a nice warm splash in the bath. Most kids love this part the most, its sooo much fun, I encourage them to splash in the bubbly water, prepare for loads of giggles and laughter, haha. I will also get some adorable photographs of your beautiful baby having the most amazing fun.

FRQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A CAKESMASH SESSION
Ideally within 4-6 weeks before baby's birthday if you want photos before the actual Birthday but if photos are not needed before actual birthday, anytime is fine provided we are not fully booked out, Baby is 1 till they are 2.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY OF MY SESSION
I start with the Birthday portraits with your little one dressed in either their nice smart clothing or one from my birthday wardrobe.
After the portrait is done, baby is dressed in one of my cake smash outfits, I will get some photos of the baby and cake before they start having fun with the cake.
Once we've had all the fun with the cake, then it's Splash time in a warn bubbly bath.
WHAT DO I PROVIDE FOR MY BABY'S CAKESMASH SESSION
I provide all things required for your babies session (OUTFITS, CAKE, PROPS) I work with you as soon as session is booked to cater to your baby's needs and vision.
However these are a few things you might want to bring.
-Baby’s outfit for the Baby's Portrait (if you are not using one of mine).
-Baby’s clothes for going home in.
-Nappies, wipes, nappy bags and any other change bag usuals.
-Beaker of water / milk.
-Snack for baby .
-Bubble bath for washing.
-Towel for drying baby off after the session.
-Spare trousers and tops for mum or dad as they will get messy as well, haha
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SESSION
Few days after your session, a link to your password protected unedited gallery will be sent via your provided email where you will view your unedited images and select the images for your final editing.
After your selection, your edited gallery will be ready for download in 3-4weeks.
You will be able to order prints, wall arts, albums.

HOW LONG DOES A CAKESMASH PHOTO SESSION TAKE
About1 -1.5hrs in my studio
WHAT DO I DO IF MY BABY HAVE NOT HAD CAKE BEFORE
It is important to let your baby taste and play with cake particularly buttercream cake prior to our session preferably couple of times, this will help them remember the taste and help get into the spirit of smash!!
HOW DO I PREPARE MY BABY FOR CAKE SMASH SESSION
It is essential that baby is fed (not overly) and well rested before session.
Please let me know the best time to get baby all nice and happy and I'll book the time for you to ensure we get the best of the session.
